Julian Draxler has insisted he is still happy at Paris Saint-Germain despite intense competition from the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.

The Germany international joined PSG back in January 2017 but has struggled to really establish himself at Parc des Princes.

With two of the world’s best forwards, as well as the likes of Ángel Di Maria and Edinson Cavani, all ahead of him in the pecking order, Draxler has been a bit part player for the French giants.

The former Schalke man however, has insisted that he’s content in the French capital and won’t be looking for a move away.

“Time goes very quickly… I signed for Paris just two years ago. I am as happy today as the day I arrived!” he told their official website.

“Sunday [against Lyon] will be a big match. The fact that it could be my 100th for Paris just makes it all the more exciting.

“I think I can do better. But when Neymar and Kylian arrived, I have been playing more and more in midfield, even in front of the defence in recent matches,” said Draxler.

“I’m not a goal scoring machine like them or Edinson Cavani. But since I’ve been here, I have progressed over the two years, especially since the coach Thomas Tuchel came to the club.

“Like I said, I’m very happy.”
