DC United now have the worst defensive record in MLS, but Julián Carranza isn’t complaining after the Philadelphia Union striker notched a second-half hat-trick on Saturday.
The home side were already losing 2-0 when Carranza opened his account two minutes after the break.
United were overwhelmed at times by the Eastern Conference leaders, and Carranza was on hand to apply another excellent finish after Cory Burke had hit the post.
And it was all too easy for the 22-year-old Argentine to complete his hat-trick when another mix-up at the back for DC allowed him to collect the match ball.
It was Carranza’s second hat-trick against the same opposition this season.
DC United must be sick of the sight of him!
