Jules Kounde transfer to go ahead despite hamstring injury | OneFootball

Jules Kounde was taken off injured in France’s game against Croatia last night.

That was scary enough as it was, but the admission from France manager Didier Deschamps after the game that the defender would now have surgery to help a recurrent problem was even scarier for Chelsea fans, who are expecting Kounde to sign for them imminently.

But Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com has today been reassuring fans that this won’t prevent the transfer, and that the problem and the resulting surgery are not risky or potentially damaging to Kounde.

According to Kinsella’s piece, it’s a longer term injury that Chelsea were already aware of, the minor procedure won’t affect their plans to sign him.

So while it’s only natural to be worried about it, you can at least know that it’s just paranoia rather than any substantiated fear. His medical is yet to come, but it’s all expected to go smoothly.
