Jürgen Klopp’s agent has confirmed the Liverpool boss will not be taking the vacant Germany national team job.
Klopp has been linked with the position in his homeland following Hansi Flick’s dismissal at the weekend, and was also rumoured to be in the running to replace Joachim Löw back in 2021.
But in what will come as a relief to Liverpool fans, the 56-year-old’s agent Marc Kosicke has poured cold water on the speculation.
“Jürgen has a long-term contract with Liverpool and is not available for the national coaching position,” Kosicke told Sportschau.
Klopp signed a new contract at Anfield in 2022 which runs until 2026.
