Jude Bellingham and Levi Colwill have become the latest withdrawals from England’s squad.
Gareth Southgate’s side already saw three players sidelined ahead of their Euro 2024 qualifiers with Malta and North Macedonia this month.
Bellingham suffered a shoulder injury in Real Madrid’s stalemate with Rayo Vallecano while Colwill picked up the same issue before Chelsea’s clash with Manchester City.
“Jude Bellingham and Levi Colwill will play no part in England’s forthcoming UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia,” confirmed an England statement.
“The pair arrived at St. George’s Park for assessments on Monday but will now return to Real Madrid and Chelsea respectively to continue their rehabilitation.
“Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford and Kalvin Phillips will meet up later this week owing to personal matters.”
Bellingham and Colwill join Tottenham’s James Maddison, Callum Wilson of Newcastle and Brighton captain Lewis Dunk in bowing out of Three Lions duty.
