The Bundesliga returned with a bang last weekend.

Despite the prolonged winter break, goals were certainly not in short supply across Germany.

In total, a whopping 39 were scored across the nine games, with seven of them coming in Borussia Dortmund‘s home fixture with Augsburg.

Dortmund won the match 4-3, with a whole host of young stars displaying their unquestionable talent.

Jude Bellingham continued his rich vein of form from the 2022 World Cup with England by scoring the opening goal of the game.

It was a top-quality finish from the 19-year-old sensation as well, one which probably added a few more million to his already enormous price tag.

The kid is a special, special talent. He makes the most difficult things look so easy – almost a bit too easy!

Nico Schlotterbeck, Jamie Bynoe Gittens and Giovanni Reyna were Dortmund’s other scorers on a quite incredible day at the iconic Signal Iduna Park.

Reyna’s goal, which proved to be the game’s winner, was probably a tad superior to Bellingham’s, so the former Birmingham City chose to produce another outstanding moment in stoppage-time.

Neymar by the touchline, performing a unique skill move that left poor ol’ Julian Baumgartlinger chasing shadows.

Stop that, Jude!

What a stupidly good footballer he is. The team who acquire his coveted signature in the summer are lucky in the extreme.

At the recent World Cup in Qatar, Manchester City ace Phil Foden tipped Bellingham to go on and become “the best midfielder in the world”.

“I don’t want to big him [Bellingham] up too much because he’s still young, but he’s one of the most gifted players I’ve ever seen,” Foden told ITV Sport. “I don’t see a weakness in his game.

“I think he has everything and I’m sure he’s going to be the best midfielder in the world, for sure.”
