The player has been the sixth to pass through the Girona dressing room to star in a new episode of the podcast Orgull Gironí. A space in which he has changed hundreds of times, but this has been the most special because he has entered for the last time, to say goodbye. Captain and an institution within the Club, Juanpe Ramírez arrived in 2016 to Montilivi when the entity had not yet tasted the elite, and has seen all colors. The canary center-back has achieved two promotions to the First Division and a historic qualification for the Champions League, even scoring a great goal from a direct free kick, but he has also suffered the bitter side of soccer with a relegation and two playoff finals lost in the cruelest way.

“I was not born a Girona player, but I will die a Girona player”

Juanpe Ramírez leaves through the front door after nine seasons at the Club and becoming a reference on the pitch and in the locker room. His career as a red and white player has accompanied a prodigious decade of constant growth of Girona FC, which has gone from fighting in the Second Division for a historic promotion to competing at the highest continental level. Juanpe, marked by Girona in sporting and personal terms, explained that "it is not easy to explain what this Club and this city mean to me. I could never have imagined what I would find here. I have grown as a player, but also as a person, and I have been very happy. Thanks to everyone! A part of me stays here forever".
