Juanpe closes a legendary period at Girona FC | OneFootball

After nine seasons proudly defending the Girona FC crest, Juanpe Ramírez is putting an end to his career at the club. In the summer of 2016, the Canarian centre-back became one of the great figures in Girona's recent history, with a total of 265 official matches played, making him the second player with the most matches with the club in professional football.

During these years, Juanpe has been the protagonist of historic moments, such as the two promotions to the First Division (2017 and 2022), and has lived the European dream, leaving his mark with a goal in the Champions League against Slovan Bratislava.

Juanpe has been more than a player for Girona FC: he has been a reference on and off the field, an example of commitment, professionalism and leadership. His mark in the dressing room, his unconditional dedication and his love for the club have made him one of the most beloved footballers by the red-and-white fans.

From Girona FC we want to express our deepest gratitude to Juanpe for these years of dedication and passion. We are proud to have shared this path with him and he will always have the doors of Montilivi open to him. This will always be his home.
