Juan Foyth insists he is “enjoying every moment” at Tottenham after overcoming a difficult start at the club.
The defender made his Premier League debut well over a year after arriving from Estudiantes in 2017, where he gave away two penalties in a 3-2 win at Wolves.
However, Foyth has made four domestic appearances since and even earned his first senior call up for Argentina in November.
“It’s been a really good 16 months for me,” he told the club’s matchday programme. “I’m really happy to be here.
“I’m here because this is a big club. We have great players and the staff have plans for every player – that was a big factor in why I signed.
“When I arrived I was very nervous because one day I was playing FIFA at home, and the next I was training with the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
“I think I was a different player at that time to what I am now,” he continued. “I wasn’t really fully prepared to play in the Premier League back then.
“The last few months have been incredible for me. I’ve really enjoyed it recently, but I can’t stop. I have to keep working and keep improving every day.
“I have improved a lot in the time I have been here. It was a good decision to sign, I’ve got a great bond with my team-mates and I’m enjoying every moment.”
The 20-year-old is expected to feature against Tranmere in the FA Cup on December 4.
