Journalist reveals when Estevao Willian will train with Chelsea for the first time | OneFootball

The plan is for Estevao Willian to begin training with Chelsea on August 4th according to journalist Bobby Vincent.

The Chelsea players are currently enjoying a well earned break following their Club World Cup success, before focus turns to the new season.

The Blues have two friendlies against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan on the 8th and 10th of August before they host Crystal Palace in their season opener on August 17th.

Estevao to start Chelsea training on August 4th

It will be interesting to see how much of an impact the Club World Cup has had on Chelsea come the start of the season, but fans won’t have to wait to long to see new signings in training.

There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Estevao, who is now a Chelsea player, after the Blues agreed a deal worth up to £51.4m with Palmerias last summer.

Estevao scored against Chelsea in the Club World Cup quarter final, and has broken records set by Neymar in the Brazilian league.

The teenage sensation has spoken of how he’s been anxious to join Chelsea, and Vincent has provided an update on when we will see him in training.

He took to X.com and said:

“Understand those that represented Chelsea in the Club World Cup are due back to Cobham on August 4 – four days before Bayer Leverkusen friendly.

“Plan is for new signing Estevao Willian to also begin training with new teammates on that date. #CFC”

Kendry Paez to join Strasbourg on loan

Estevao isn’t the only exciting South American talent to arrive at Chelsea this summer, with Ecuador international Kendry Paez also joining.

Paez wasn’t part of the squad for the Club World Cup, but was out in America and trained with the team, which would have been an invaluable experience.

However, unlike Estevao it seems Paez will be loaned out next season, with his move to Strasbourg set be confirmed imminently.
