Hull City are the side most interested in taking Crystal Palace winger Malcolm Ebiowei at this stage, according to an update on Twitter from reporter Alan Nixon (27/11; 10:03pm).

It was the same journalist who revealed the Tigers’ interest in the 19-year-old earlier this month, with manager Liam Rosenior previously working with the promising teenager at Derby County last season.

Although the Rams would have wanted to retain him beyond the end of last term, Ebiowei decided to follow Luke Plange’s path and leave the East Midlands for Selhurst Park, though the former has failed to win a huge amount of game time under Patrick Vieira this season.

In what year were Hull formed?

1904 1914 1924 1934

With this, the Premier League side could potentially be willing to loan him out during the January transfer window with others currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

Hull are the team believed to be most interested at this point, something that won’t come as a surprise to many considering Rosenior saw him thrive last term.

However, the Tigers already have five loanees at their disposal at this stage and may want to offload one or two when the winter comes along to make room for Ebiowei with only five temporary players allowed in a matchday squad.

Considering the Tigers had such a big transformation in the summer, you could forgive owner Acun Ilicali if he didn’t want to spend too much when the January window opens.

However, he should give some funds to Rosenior because the ex-Derby boss deserves the opportunity to put his own stamp on the first-team squad, something that should increase his chances of being a success at the MKM Stadium.

The 38-year-old has managed to do well within a limited budget before though – and you would definitely back him to pull off a move for the winger if the funds are there to get a loan deal done because of the duo’s previous relationship.

And someone like the teenager could help to spark the Tigers into life following a difficult start to the season, with the club definitely having room for the winger if they can shift one or two of their loanees on.

Considering Xavier Simons and Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand haven’t made an impact at the MKM Stadium, those two could potentially be recalled when the next window comes around.
