Journalist claims Milan ‘must wait until the last days of the mercato’ to ‘complete the squad’ | OneFootball

The AC Milan management are waiting for the final days of the transfer window to complete their squad, according to one journalist.

Luca Marchetti, the well-known transfer market expert, took stock of the Rossoneri’s negotiations during a feature for TMW (via SempreMilan.it). He remarked that Milan ‘must wait until the last days of the mercato’ to complete the squad, adding that a central defender and a midfielder are wanted.

However, Marchetti mentions that the two signings are seen as ‘important but not essential’ implying that there is a chance neither arrives. With Charles De Ketelaere added to the squad, the feeling is that the main gap has been filled with some quality depth now available.

Nonetheless, the work of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara ‘is not yet finished’ as they have not satisfied the requests of Stefano Pioli yet, with a ‘couple of signings’ needed to complete the squad and aim for a second star next season.
