A Journalist has reported that Chelsea actually beat Manchester United, AC Milan, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and PSG to a new signing.

The news comes after Chelsea were defeated by Arsenal in the Premier League yesterday, losing to a first half headed goal by Mikel Merino.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea in for THIRD Sporting player this summer after two agreements made!

The game was obviously not without its drama and Chelsea fans saw what they expect to see every time Robert Sanchez starts, and that is him making a silly mistake and giving away a goal. This time he got lucky, but Maresca continued to back his goalkeeper at the full time whistle once again.

Meanwhile, Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber was seen mocking Maresca on the side lines in an interaction that has annoyed Blues fans even more.

All in all it wasn’t a good performance from Chelsea and it lacked intensity, desire, energy, and any kind of real belief that they could get something from the game.

It wasn’t all bad news for Chelsea at the weekend though and we had a couple of transfer deals agreed for the summer as well.

Our own journalist Simon Phillips had some extra info on this one via his Substack site this weekend.

He says:

‘Chelsea agree deals to sign two players from Sporting this summer, Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo.

‘SPTC sources heard that as well as Manchester United and a host of the top Premier League clubs, Chelsea got ahead of and beat AC Milan, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and PSG to the signing of Quenda.

‘We have been working on this deal in secret ‘for a while now’ and praise has been given too for the fact it has been kept so quiet.’
