Joshua Kimmich set a new Bayern Munich record on Tuesday by running the furthest of any player during a Bundesliga game.
Kimmich scored the only goal of the game as Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund to go seven points clear at the top of the table.
The Germany international described his first half chip as “the best goal of my career”.
But that wasn’t the only positive from the performance at Westfalenstadion.
According to data gathered by Opta, Kimmich ran 13.7km during the 90 minutes – a record for any Bayern player since those stats started to be recorded in 2013.
