It’s been a long wait for a Premier League goal for Norwich forward Josh Sargent since his move from Werder Bremen.
The American has made 18 appearances, featured in over 950 minutes without hitting the back of the net for the Canaries … until tonight.
And it was worth the wait.
The 21-year-old gave Dean Smith’s side the lead against fellow relegation strugglers Watford with an improvised finish from 10 yards out after Teemu Pukki had dinked the ball across goal but just behind the run of his teammate.
Sargent a scorpion kick before the ball kissed the underside of the crossbar before going in which always helps the aesthetics.

Whether he meant it or not is up for debate, and we’ll leave that up to you to decide.
But it could be a priceless goal in Norwich’s quest for survival.
