has confirmed his family are committed to Arsenal for “the long term”.

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) has owned 100 per cent of the Gunners since 2018, headed by owner and chairman Stan Kroenke.

KSE also own the like of Los Angeles Rams, the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rapids, but son Josh insists the Gunners are viewed as the jewel in the portfolio crown.

The Kroenke family have endured a turbulent relationship with supporters, culminating in demands they sell the team after Arsenal was announced as a founding member of the European Super League in April 2021.

In the face of public pressure, the Kroenke family insisted they would not sell, and were instead committed to owning the team indefinitely.

Three years on, tensions have eased. Mikel Arteta’s elevation of Arsenal into title contenders has brought supporters back on side, especially after he was again backed to the tune of around £200 million over the summer.

Josh and his father Stan have the final say over every major club decision and have helped bring Arsenal back into contention for titles after years of struggles.

“We were a real estate family that fell into sports due to our love of it,”  Kroenke said. “It’s morphed into what we have now – Los Angeles Rams, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Mammoth, Colorado Rapids. The really big one is over in London. We have Arsenal Football Club.

“My father’s philosophy, and it’s the same with me as well, whenever you invest in something, if you’re trying to short buck… that’s not our strategy. We want to invest in something that makes sense for us over the long term.”
