Joselu’s Real Madrid future ‘practically decided’ as value of buy clause revealed | OneFootball

An update on the future of Real Madrid star Joselu has come to the fore late this evening.

And the news will come as music to the ears of those hopeful of the frontman extending his stay in Spain’s capital beyond the summer.

Joselu, of course, linked up with Carlo Ancelotti’s Real last year, as part of a season-long loan from Espanyol.

And, safe to say, the move has since proven a fruitful one for all parties involved.

Joselu currently stands as Los Blancos’ 2nd top scorer across all competitions, behind only the rampant Jude Bellingham.

This comes with the Spanish international having racked up a head-turning 14 goals, to go along with four assists.

Making such production all the more impressive, though, is the fact that Joselu is far from a guaranteed starter in Real Madrid’s squad.

In fact, across the capital giants’ 25 La Liga outings to date, he has featured from the off in just ten.

It should therefore come as little surprise to hear that, barring any late twists, the intention of the Santiago Bernabéu brass is to make their on-loan striker’s arrival a permanent one in the summer.

As per a report from Diario AS, the decision to keep hold of Joselu ‘has practically been made’.

Making as much even less surprising is the fact, that, incredibly, Real’s option to do so would set them back a bargain fee of just €1.5 million.
