A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has made his way firmly onto the radar of one of Turkish football’s biggest clubs.
That’s according to Diario Sport, citing a number of sources in Turkey, who point towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.
The 21-year-old, for his part, is of course fresh off an altogether underwhelming campaign out on loan away from Barcelona, with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Of the opinion that Ansu’s best form could nevertheless yet be found by way of a temporary Blaugrana exit, though, is legendary tactician José Mourinho.
‘Mou’ is of course in line for a new adventure in 2024/25, having agreed to take up the reins of Fenerbahçe.
And, as one of his first orders of business, the Portuguese is understood to have requested the signing of Ansu from Barcelona.
As per Sport:
‘Mourinho wants him for his new project, convinced that he can once again be an important player.’
Negotiations have already been kickstarted between the parties, over the possibility of a deal which would see the talented young attacker make the move to Istanbul on loan for the season ahead.
