Star Chivas striker José Juan Macías refuses to join Major League Soccer as he continues to seek out a move to Europe.
That’s according to Record journalist Rubén Rodríguez after the repeated interest in the youngster surfaced yet again.
According to the journalist, the U-23 Mexican national team strongly opposed the Macías offer from MLS, as their interests are in the 21-year-old joining European football this summer.
Chicago Fire was one of the most interested clubs, even offering Macías to join the club as a Designated Player.
However, the rojiblanco attacker declined the proposal.
Last season, Chivas and Macías refused a series of offers from Europe and abroad, most notably a $10m bid from Russian outfit Krasnodar, who are believed to be making another offer this summer.
