José Izquierdo made his comeback with Club Brugge ten minutes before the final whistle. The Colombian winger is still very popular in Jan Breydel.

“I am very happy to be back. I like playing here so it is nice to stand on this pitch again." Izquierdo was clearly emotional because of the warm welcome by the fans. "The fans give me a lot of love and I enjoy that a lot. This is my home. The support of the fans motivates me to keep on going." Izquierdo has recovered more quickly than expected thanks to the good work of the Club staff. "We have good physiotherapists which is why I am already back. I am very grateful for that so I also want to congratulate them. We work hard the entire day. Not only here at the club but also at home via our food etc. I work on my comeback step by step and day by day. I especially enjoy this moment now and the team." (JDN/KN)
