The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has insisted the Italian's priority is to discuss a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Jorginho has entered the final 12 months of his contract and 90min understands the Blues are happy to move him on this summer amid interest from former boss Maurizio Sarri, who is now at Lazio, as well as long-term admirers Juventus.

Interest from Turin has even prompted rumours that Jorginho could be used in a swap deal for centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, who is of significant interest to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

However, according to Jorginho's agent Joao Santos, the 30-year-old isn't thinking about making a return to Italy just yet.

"Chelsea are the priority," Santos told TuttoMercatoWeb.

"His contract will expire in 2023. I think we will talk about the renewal from September."

Despite Santos' comments, 90min understands that Chelsea are still prepared to listen to offers for Jorginho as Tuchel eyes a rebuild of his ageing midfield.

31-year-old N'Golo Kante also has 12 months left to run on his deal and sources have confirmed that Chelsea do not plan to keep both players beyond 2023, with talks ongoing over the futures of both Kante and Jorginho.

Tuchel wants to bring Conor Gallagher into the first-team fold following his excellent loan spell with Crystal Palace, while Billy Gilmour and Ethan Ampadu are both looking to cement a spot in the boss' plans.
