The midfielder opened his, and Chelsea’s, account for the season in familiar fashion from the spot at Everton on Saturday evening.
It came via a cool stroke into the corner which sent Jordan Pickford the wrong way and which did not feature his usual bunny-hop routine in the run-up.
In doing so, he also cemented his growing reputation as the king of Premier League penalties. Or at the very least, relying on them so much for his goals.
The stats don’t lie.
