Despite Everton’s current struggles, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is set to commit to the club long-term.

That is according to a report in The Athletic which states that if everything progresses as planned, the England number one will officially put pen to paper on a Goodison Park extension this week.

His current contract was set to expire in the summer of 2024 but after weeks of positive talks, that deal will now be extended long-term.

And that isn’t the only new deal in the works for the Toffees with Alex Iwobi set to be rewarded for his outstanding form this season with a similar extension.

Positive talks remain ongoing with the 26-year-old’s camp regarding his own fresh terms.
