West Ham striker Jordan Hugill is determined to make his Hammers career a success despite failing to make his mark in his first 18 months.
Since making a £10m move from Preston in January 2018, Hugill has only made three appearances for West Ham and is on loan at QPR after spending last season away at Middlesbrough.
The 27-year-old is under contract until 2022 and says he has absolutely no regrets moving to the London Stadium.
“I have no regrets at all,” he said. “Going from Preston to West Ham is something I could never have dreamed of in my whole life. I’d do it over and over again, regardless of what happens, I’d do it 100 times over.
“Now for me, I want to prove everyone wrong thinking that I can’t be this Premier League player anymore.
“They think I’m just an average Championship player, when really if I get back to my form that I was at Preston, I could be up there with some of the best in the league.
“I’ve not done anything wrong,” he added. “I’ve kept my head down, I’ve kept working hard knowing that if a chance comes, I want to take it.
“I came into the game late in my career, so I need to play games and I think that coming here (QPR) was the best option for me.”
Hugill scored seven goals at Boro last season and needed only eight minutes to score in his QPR debut last weekend.
