A compilation of Jordan Henderson’s passing for Liverpool this season is going viral on Twitter.

Liverpool are having a pretty disastrous 2022/23 season so far.

Jurgen Klopp’s side sit ninth in the Premier League table, a massive 19 points adrift of league leaders Arsenal.

While their hopes of winning the Premier League this season are over, their ambitions to play Champions League football next season are also diminishing.

Following their dismal 3-0 loss to Brighton at the weekend, Liverpool are now 10 points behind Newcastle and Manchester United in third and fourth respectively.

Winning at the FA Cup looks unlikely, too, with the Reds in this kind of form.

They’re perhaps fortunate to have a second opportunity against Wolves in the third round following their controversial 2-2 draw at Anfield. The replays will take place on Tuesday night. Even if they are to get the better of Wolves, another trip to the south coast to face Brighton awaits.

And in the Champions League, they will have to get past holders Real Madrid in the last-16 before they can even think about the latter stages of the competition.

So we may not be seeing that famous ‘Henderson shuffle’ that we’ve seen so often in recent years this season.

It’s been a tough campaign for Henderson on a personal level.

Liverpool’s midfield has been questioned throughout the season with it seemingly missing the energy required to compete for trophies.

On just four occasions, the skipper has played the full match for Liverpool this season with the 32-year-old struggling to stay fully fit.

And when he does play, Henderson hasn’t exactly produced the type of performances required.

In fact, a compilation is going viral on Twitter showing Henderson playing ‘hoof ball’ this season.

The video in question shows Henderson playing many long balls that appear to just be aimless ‘hoofs’ up the pitch. It really isn’t a good look.

The video has been watched more than one million times with many supporters criticising Henderson in the replies.

Oh dear.

Henderson: Things aren’t right at Liverpool

After the damaging loss to Brighton, Henderson worryingly admitted that things ‘haven’t been right for a while’ at Liverpool.

When asked what was wrong against Brighton, Henderson replied: “I think there wasn’t one thing, I think there were numerous things that weren’t right at all and haven’t been right probably for a little while now.

“Like I said, we need to be a lot better than that – everybody knows that. In the dressing room after the game, we all know we can be better individually, collectively, everything across the board. And I’ll take responsibility, the lads will take responsibility to try to put it right.”
