Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is gearing up to represent England at the European Championships and it certainly looks as though the competitive nature of the Reds’ skipper is coming through in England training.
Question marks have been around the midfielder’s fitness going into the tournament but he got 45 minutes under his belt in a friendly against Romania last weekend and it looks as though he’s well up to speed in training, beating West Ham United’s Declan Rice in a recent running drill.
This video comes via the Liverpool Echo on Twitter:
It’s great to see Henderson in full flow and it looks as though he’s brimming with confidence amongst the other England players too.
Let’s hope he has a real impact if he gets to play in the coming group games and, of course, does not aggravate things or pick up another injury after just shaking off the last one.
