Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has reportedly called an emergency meeting to discuss the players response to the new Super League.
Henderson was at the vanguard last year as he organised all 20 Premier League captains during the first few weeks of the COVID pandemic.
And now it seems that he’s taking a leading role in the English top flight’s response to European football’s new breakaway division.
Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan, who has a number of well-placed sources in the Premier League, has revealed that Henderson has called for a meeting to discuss the players’ response to this bombshell story.
There have been reports earlier on Tuesday that Manchester United captain Harry Maguire angrily confronted Ed Woodward about United’s involvement in the controversial league.
