Jon Moss has been appointed referee at the London Stadium on Wednesday when Manchester City travel to the capital to face a in form West Ham side in a tricky looking fourth round clash.
Jon Moss' most recent outing involving Manchester City came at the Etihad last month when the blues' were held to a 0-0 draw by Southampton, with Moss rewarding the visitors a penalty for a challenge by Kyle Walker in the second half but then overturning his decision after being instructed to take a second look on the monitor by the VAR officials. In total Moss has has taken on 34 matches involving the sky blues, with City winning 27, drawing 5 and losing just 2 - against Arsenal and Liverpool. Coincidentally the Sunderland born official was referee when City last met West Ham in the League Cup - Moss took the first leg of the semi-final back in 2014 when a Edin Dzeko hat-trick inspired City to a 6-0 win at the Etihad, effectively ending the tie there and then.
