Jonathan Fabbro, the former Chiapas and Lobos BUAP attacking midfielder, was charged last year for the rape of his 11-year-old goddaughter.
The former Paraguayan international is being accused of sexually abusing his goddaughter from the age of six and faces up to 20 years in prison.
Fabbro has had a nasty legal history. In 2010, he hit and killed a 23-year-old mum who was taking her five-year-old boy to school on her motorbike in Videla, Santa Fe, Argentina while he was driving his Audi TT.
Fabbro eventually had money docked from his wages to compensate his victim’s family after they sued him. He then hit another motorcyclist two years later.
The 36-year-old was extradited in May from Mexico to South American lands by order of Interpol.
