In Brazil 2014, Jonathan dos Santos didn’t get the call from Miguel Herrera. Now he’s looking forward to his first World Cup.
During an appearance for a sports brand, Jonathan was questioned by the media about Russia 2018 and his brother Giovani.
The youngest of the two brothers spoke about his likely World Cup selection, “I’m going to cry when that moment comes, I’m going to get goosebumps. For me, it’s been a dream since I was little to be able to play in the World Cup together with my brother.”
The 27-year-old missed Mexico’s latest international friendlies against Iceland and Croatia after he injured his hamstring during a closed-door friendly with the LA Galaxy.
Rodolfo Pizarro replaced Giovanni Dos Santos in his absence and Jonathan thinks both should be on the final list.
“Let the two go, right? Pizarro is a good footballer and my brother has had a great career.”
