Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall has admitted that his side won't have it all their own way in what should be a physical north London derby against Tottenham on Saturday.

The Gunners travel to Brisbane Road in the WSL on Women's Football Weekend looking to reignite a flailing title charge - they currently sit in fourth place, five points behind leaders Chelsea.

A win against Spurs could breathe fresh life into Arsenal's league campaign and give them a much-needed boost after their narrow loss at Bayern Munich in the Women's Champions League earlier this week.

Tottenham have failed to kick on after such a promising 2021/22 season and have picked up just 12 points from 15 WSL games this season.

Nevertheless, Eidevall has sympathised with Spurs' woes and admitted it won't be an easy game for Arsenal.

"I've seen a Tottenham that probably has been unlucky. They've been working really hard, I think they have a quality team of players that we have a lot of respect for," he said.

"I expect a team and opponent to play against that will make life very hard for us on Saturday. We have to be on top of our game in order to win the game."

When further discussing Saturday's challenge, Eidevall insisted that Spurs are an aggressive outfit who 'foul a lot'.

"Usually when we play against Spurs, they're a very physical side. They foul a lot and we need to handle that, together with the referee of course," he added.

"But we're ready for that. We know the pitch is not perfect there, we know it's going to be a physical game. We focus on what we can control. If we do that well, we are confident that we will win the game."
