Lyon fans protested before their 3-0 victory against Toulouse with two banners directed at OL owner and president John Textor. OL’s two largest supporter groups, who are housed in the Virage Sud and Nord at Parc OL, unveiled two banners questioning the club’s current situation and ownership model.

Images captured by Foot Mercato’s Dahbia Hattabi show the two banners which were hung at opposing sides of the stadium by the club’s biggest supporter groups. The two banners are directed at the club’s current relegation battle and the performance of clubs that are owned within multi-club ownership models. One banner reads, “John Textor, does Ligue 2 still make you laugh?” and the other reads, “Is multi-ownership a hit or is it killing football?”. John Textor owns several clubs including Lyon as part of Eagle Football Group.

The club’s most passionate supporters are clearly unhappy with the club’s current situation following these latest protests. Les Gones currently sit at the bottom of Ligue 1 despite registering their second win of the Ligue 1 season against Toulouse last time out.
