John Aldridge makes bold Liverpool prediction for remainder of the season | OneFootball

Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has reflected on the Reds’ win over Southampton this weekend on social media and also suggested that a team could get a hiding before the season is out.

The Reds certainly made it hard for themselves again last night in the Premier League as a number of chances went begging with Southampton also presented with a few good opportunities.

Ultimately, though, the three points were sealed with goals from Sadio Mane and Thiago – his first in a red shirt – prompting Aldridge to make a couple of comments on Twitter:

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Certainly, you could have seen things going a similar way to Newcastle game as the Reds once again failed to kill the match off at the earliest opportunity but thankfully the team did enough to seal a big three points.

Whether a ‘hiding’ as Aldridge predicts is going to happen remains to be seen but four wins from four would at least give the Reds a chance of making the Champions League spots.

We’ll soon see what happens, too, with Manchester United up next on Thursday night in the Premier League.
