Eintracht Women began pre-season with a two-hour training session on Wednesday. Stina Johannes made her first appearance in SGE colours, while Camilla Küver returned to full training.

Two months on from their last match, Eintracht Women have started preparing for the forthcoming season. Among the group were defender Camilla Küver, making her comeback after eight months out with a torn cruciate ligament, and new goalkeeper Stina Johannes. “Increase the intensity little by little” “We’re all full of anticipation for the new season,“ said coach Niko Arnautis after the first session. “It was a very long break and we’ve not been on the pitch together for two months. The fact that a lot of the internationals can’t be with us yet is obviously a challenge and makes pre-season harder, but that’s outweighed by the pride of seeing our players at major tournaments. “In the first week of training it’s about getting used to the pitch and the ball again,” Arnautis continued, “so we’ll be working with the ball a lot to get our touch back, and then increase the intensity little by little so that we’re not only in top shape for the start of the Champions League mini-tournament, but also functioning well as a team.” The first week of training ends with Eintracht’s first friendly on Sunday 17 July (kick-off 12:00 CEST), when they meet regional league outfit SV Hegnach at the Sportanlage Rebstock.
