Newcastle striker Joelinton reveals he has suffered ‘great anxiety’ after struggling to impress since joining Newcastle.
Joelinton arrived for a club-record £40m from Hoffenheim last summer, but has scored just three goals in 34 appearances this term.
Despite his struggles, the 23-year-old insists he is happy on Tyneside and has vowed to give a ‘lot of joy’ to the fans.
“I think that for any striker, going a while without scoring is bad. It leaves us with great anxiety,” he told Goal Brazil.
“But I think it’s the beginning of my journey in English football and I’m not used to being shaken by a bad moment.
“I seek strength to train, improve and return to the games to score goals and help Newcastle win games. We have to seek evolution.
“It’s a league with great teams and excellent players and coaches, so the level is very high. I will train hard to succeed here.”
