Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has selected his side and substitutes to welcome Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham City to Elland Road this afternoon.

Farke will want to see his men start 2024 on a good note after back to back defeats, at Preston North End and West Brom, respectively.

The German tactician has come in for some criticism due to Leeds struggling to break down teams, but the Whites start as big favourites today.

Under Rooney, Birmingham have slumped down the Championship table and have won just one of their last six games.

Kristoffer Klaesson is in goal for Leeds today, while at the back Farke picks Archie Gray, Liam Cooper, Joe Rodon and Sam Byram as a back four.

Midfield sees Leeds field Ethan Ampadu and Glen Kamara, while Crysencio Summerville, Daniel James and Georginio Rutter support Patrick Bamford.

Farke can look to his bench if changes are needed and his options include Joel Piroe and Willy Gnonto.
