Arsenal have confirmed that Joe Willock has signed a new “long-term” contract with the club.
Willock has progressed through the Gunners youth system and has so far played a key part in Unai Emery’s starting XI this term.
The 20-year-old has impressed in his three games and the north London side have acted quickly to tie the midfielder down to an extension, although fail to confirm how long the contract is actually for.
“Joe has progressed a lot in the last year,” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.
“He is technically strong and has shown the confidence to take responsibility and play his game whatever the occasion or opposition.
“I’m looking forward to working with to help him develop further and fulfil his potential.”
