It was a remarkable Tuesday night for Nottingham Forest as they beat Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

The Reds found themselves a goal down heading into the dying embers of the contest, before recording a sensational win on the road.

Djed Spence was fouled in the first minute of stoppage time, with Lyle Taylor netting from the penalty spot and sending Daniel Bentley the wrong way.

But Taylor and Forest weren’t done there, running straight back to the centre circle, igniting another attack and scoring moments later, with the striker tapping in at the far post.

Quiz: Did these 25 Nottingham Forest transfers actually happen?

It was a remarkable turn of events and it sparked pandemonium in the away end, with over 1,500 supporters being sent into raptures.

It was Joe Lolley’s shot which led to Taylor’s second goal, with the winger forcing a fine save out of Bentley who can only palm the ball into the striker’s path.

Lolley and Taylor were both substitutes who helped changed the game, and Lolley took to Instagram afterwards to send a clear verdict on the performance and the night.

The Verdict

It says a lot that Forest picked up the ball straight away and ran straight back to the centre circle after netting the equaliser.

They believe that they can score goals and believe that they can win games regardless of what minute they are in, and that is testament to Steve Cooper.

That’s now four wins on the bounce and they will take great confidence into Sunday’s game against Fulham at the City Ground.
