Veteran goalkeeper Joe Hart made some unwanted history on Saturday afternoon.

The Celtic stopper was appearing in the 737th game of his career away to Livingston and had never been sent off before.

That was until a rash challenge on the edge of his own penalty box saw the former England number one deny a clear goalscoring opportunity and resulted in his dismissal.

In almost 750 outings for various clubs and country, the 36-year-old had never been sent for an early shower and saw him go from hero to villain after his midweek penalty save in the Champions League.

It also adds to the Hoops’ recent discipline issues, with Gustaf Lagerbielke and Odin Thiago Holm having been dismissed in that loss to Feyenoord last time out.
