Joe Hart pays tribute to ‘special club’ after title success with Celtic

Joe Hart has paid tribute to Celtic and the club’s support after toasting off a successful debut season in Glasgow’s East End. The goalkeeper made 54 appearances for Celtic this season and was a big part in the double success that the club enjoyed registering 26 clean sheets in all competitions.

The two-time PL Golden Glove winner was told by Nuno Espirito Santo, then Tottenham manager, that he would not play any minutes under him saying that the decorated England Internationalist was finished. This opened the door for Hart to make the move to Paradise and work with Ange Postecoglou.

Suffice to say the move has been a fruitful one with Hart providing experience and quality to the rebuild. Not only that, Hart showed himself to be a key leader in the dressing room, helping both the manager and Callum McGregor chart their course to success.

Credit to Hart, he has totally bought into the club. He is a top pro and one that has embraced himself with the culture of the football club. Ange has spoken highly of the keeper and the ex-Man City stopper spoke of feeling the love from the Australian. Some raised concerns at Hart being given a three year deal but the club have benefitted from his arrival and hopefully he is a presence in the Celtic nets for a few more years, at least.
