Joe Hart’s poor footwork is supposedly why Pep Guardiola was soon keen to get rid of him but it seems he’s determined to prove a point this summer.
Hart was a second half substitute as Manchester City took on Liverpool in New Jersey on Wednesday, and the former England goalkeeper was in a flamboyant mood.
With 69 minutes on the clock, Hart dealt with a pass back to him by back-heeling the ball through the legs of the onrushing Mohamed Salah.
In fact, it was very nearly a horrendous mistake but full marks for styling it out.
Liverpool won the game 2-1 thanks to a late Sadio Mané penalty but both Guardiola and his opposite number Jürgen Klopp were in a jovial mood afterwards.
The next time these two sides face each other will be at Anfield on 6 October and we suspect things will probably be taken a little more seriously on that occasion.
