Jody Morris has admitted that it’s good to be “home” with the former midfielder now working as Frank Lampard’s assistant at Chelsea.

Morris spent five years at the Blues academy before joining up with Lampard for his year at Derby.

The pair of them are back at Stamford Bridge though, and the 40-year-old has revealed just how delighted he is to be working for the club again.

“It’s an amazing feeling to be back,” he told their official website.

“This is my club, it’s the team I supported as a boy and I was lucky enough to go through the ranks as an eight-year-old to then play for Chelsea.

“Obviously the five years I had working in the Academy were amazing but after leaving for Derby last year, to come back now really does feel like I’ve come home.”
