Borussia Dortmund have completed the transfer of Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham, five years after signing his older brother Jude Bellingham.
According to reports, the German side paid an initial €32m (£26.9m) to secure Jobe’s move to Dortmund, where he’ll join the squad ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The 19-year-old is mirroring his brother Jude’s career path by heading to Germany as a teenage prospect.
Last season, Bellingham notched four goals and three assists in 43 games, earning him the Championship Young Player of the Year title.
He was instrumental in Sunderland’s promotion to the Premier League, helping them clinch a 2-1 win against Sheffield United in the Wembley playoff final.
Currently part of the England Under-21 setup, Bellingham has been given the green light by manager Lee Carsley to leave the international team and link up with Dortmund this summer.
