Joao Pedro has made his decision on a new club.

As expected, the 23 year old forward leaving Brighton.

Sunday bringing news that Joao Pedro is signing for Chelsea.

He reports that whilst both Chelsea and Newcastle United both put in bids, Joao Pedro had always only wanted to go to Chelsea.

”Chelsea have reached an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Joao Pedro.

The 23-year-old Brazilian was targeted by Chelsea and Newcastle United but he only wanted to join the west London side.

A deal in excess of £50million has been struck, while personal terms are in place on a contract until 2032.

Medical checks are being arranged and subject to successful completion, he will become part of Chelsea’s squad contesting the Club World Cup in the U.S.

The move will see them add a versatile forward to an attacking unit that has already been bolstered in the summer window.
