João Félix sends message to Barcelona boss Xavi after match-winning display vs Cádiz | OneFootball

Barcelona star João Félix made use of the opportunity to send a message to head coach Xavi, on the back of the club’s latest outing.

Barca, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Andalusia for a La Liga meeting with relegation-battling Cádiz.

Amid heavy rotation in the Blaugrana’s XI, the aforementioned João Félix was afforded his latest start, joining Ferran Torres and Vitor Roque in a new-look frontline.

And, when all was said and done, the Portuguese managed to prove himself the game’s decisive figure.

Late in the first-half, after the ball looped up in the air in the Cádiz penalty area, Félix did brilliantly to adjust, before directing a wonderful bicycle kick into the bottom corner.

Two weeks on from proving himself key to Barcelona’s narrow victory over Las Palmas, too, it is safe to say that the on-loan Atlético Madrid man is pushing hard for a place in the Catalans’ first-choice XI.

Just days out from the club’s Champions League quarter-final 2nd-leg showdown with Paris Saint-Germain, Félix, as alluded to above, therefore took full advantage of the chance to send something of a message to boss Xavi, during his post-match interview:

“I showed the manager that he can count on me,” the 24-year-old began. “Like he did at the beginning of the season.”
