João Félix admits it will be an easy decision to stay at Barcelona | OneFootball

An update on the future of João Félix, who is currently on loan at Barcelona from Atlético Madrid, has been provided today by the player himself.

Félix has impressed at his new club with 13 goal contributions in 30 games this season. The Portugal international has won over Barca fans with his excellent playmaking and his electric footwork.

The forward would like to extend his stay at the Spanish giants, however the clubs delicate financial situation means this move could be in jeopardy. Atlético know that they won’t get all of the €126m they paid for Portuguese star, but would like to recoup as much as possible.

While, Barca wouldn’t be able to meet these demands they would like to take the player on loan again, but this time with an option to buy in the future. In an interview with Catalunya Radio, the 24-year-old admitted it would be an easy decision to extend his stay at the club, due to his positive relationship with president Cerezo.

He said: “I’m very happy in Barcelona. I love the city, the people, the club. My position is clear. The dressing room is also incredible, I really hope to stay at the club beyond this season.

“We will see. On the part of president Cerezo I think easy, because he is a wonderful person and I respect him very much. He was always good to me and to my family, and to my mother.”
