After his infamous €100m switch from Real Madrid after nine trophy-laden seasons, Cristiano Ronaldo has wasted no time influencing those around him at Juventus.

After a slow start to the season by his standards, Ronaldo has scored seven times over his last 10 appearances.

At 33 years old, while most forwards would be on the back end of their career, Ronaldo continues to set the standard for excellence.

He recently celebrated his record 400th goal against teams from top-five European leagues.

After seeing him in action for both club and country, Joao Cancelo hailed Ronaldo as the ultimate team-mate.

“Everybody at Juventus looks at Cristiano Ronaldo as a great example,” Joao Cancelo told Tuttosport.

“Everybody wants to be like him, even the more experienced players like Chiellini.

“He is an incredible player, he works a lot and he is an example for us all. He is humble and a hard worker.”

Joao Cancelo arrived from Valencia this summer in a €42m move. After coming through the Benfica youth system, the Portuguese international hinted that he could have a future in Portugal.

“Benfica? I am at one of the best clubs in the world but I miss the 60,000 fans of the Estadio Da Luz.”
