Barcelona president Joan Laporta has moved to send an assurance the way of the club’s supporters, regarding two of the club’s summer signings.

This comes amid confirmation that both Joan García and Marcus Rashford will be available for selection for the club’s season opener.

The registration situation in Catalunya’s capital has of course continued to dominate the headlines across Spain across the week to date.

As much comes as those in the Camp Nou boardroom work frantically to ensure that summer arrivals Joan and Rashford are eligible to play their part against RCD Mallorca later today.

The former’s registration was confirmed on La Liga’s official website in the early hours of Saturday, as showcased below:

And if the latest comments on the part of the aforementioned Joan Laporta are anything to go by, then the Barca faithful should be able to look forward to a competitive debut for frontman Rashford on Saturday, too.

In quotes provided to Mundo Deportivo, and relaid by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Blaugrana president Laporta confirmed:

“Joan García and Marcus Rashford are both registered for tomorrow.”
