Jhon Durán returns to Europe to join Mourinho's Fenerbahçe

Fenerbahçe have confirmed the signing of Colombian striker Jhon Durán on a season-long loan, with the 21-year-old making the switch from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

Durán only joined Al-Nassr in January from Aston Villa but made a swift impact, scoring 12 goals in 18 appearances during his short stint in Riyadh.

Despite that form, the forward now returns to European football and could feature in the Champions League next season, should the Turkish giants come through qualifying.

The move marks a new chapter in Durán’s career, following two-and-a-half seasons at Villa Park. Al-Nassr reportedly paid close to £80 million to land the young striker earlier this year, but he now heads to Istanbul in search of regular minutes.
