Although playing chances are set to be limited for Jesús Vallejo at Real Madrid, he isn’t planning to move on this summer.
Opportunities are set to be restricted even further for the 22-year-old following the arrival of Éder Militão from Porto.
As a result, he has been linked with a loan move away from the Santiago Bernabéu, but that doesn’t figure into his own plans.
“You always want to play and the important thing is that you make yourself available to do so,” he told El Larguero.
“I feel good. Thanks to the games I played at the end of the season, it has given me a chance to play for the national team.
“I want to stay. I’m happy here and I want to give my best and develop. We have good players and I learn a lot from being by their side.
“A loan move isn’t even something I’ve considered. The coach is happy with my work and I’m happy to stay.”
Vallejo is also excited by the arrival of Luka Jović, a player who joined Eintracht Frankfurt shortly after he left the club in 2017.
“I didn’t get a chance to play with him during my year in Frankfurt,” Vallejo added.
“But he is a born goalscorer and he is certain to help us in trying to achieve our goals.”
Although the central defender made just four LaLiga starts last season, it was notable that they did all come after Zinedine Zidane returned as coach.
